ZA True White Exfoliating Clay Scrub Review

June 28, 2015

Today I will be reviewing one of my favourite scrubs, ZA's True White EX Exfoliating Clay!

Exfoliation is an important part of one's skincare routine and you should exfoliate at least once or twice a week (depending on hour skin does with exfoliation) so that your skin's dead cells are removed and all your other skincare products absorb better.

Without further ado, here's my honest review!

*disclaimer: I was not paid to make this post. I bought this product with my own money and this is my honest review*

WHAT IS IT?

On the packaging it says that this product is a whitening clay mask that instantly exfoliates excess surface cells for translucent skin. Instead of a mask that you apply and leave on for a few minutes, I would actually call this product an exfoliating scrub. It contains white mineral clay, spa ingredients and Vitamin C. The main actions of this product are:

1. Exfoliate excess surface skin cells
2. Removes impurities around pores
3. Absorbs sebum
4. Moisturizes skin
5. Lets you instantly achieve luminous translucent and moisturized skin

I searched up White Clay on Google and its supposed to act as a mild exfoliant when used as a cleanser or a scrub. It helps in renewing and cleansing the skin.

WHERE TO BUY

I bought my second tube recently at Watsons for RM26.90.

PACKAGING

The product comes in a tube form which I find very convenient because I usually use this when I bathe and it lets me get the product conveniently.

INGREDIENTS

TEXTURE AND FRAGRANCE

The texture of this product is thick/creamy and similar to clay with very little beads to help with exfoliation. The product is white in colour and has a faint but nice smell.

HOW TO USE

After I wash my face with a cleanser, I dry my face and hands and squeeze out half centimeter on the back of my palm. I then separate it into 5 areas; my forehead, cheeks, nose and chin. Massage in circular motions for about 1 minute, then wash away with warm water. Remember not to use this around your eye area because the skin there is very thin and using a scrub may be too harsh.

MY REVIEW

Exfoliation & removal of dead skin: This product does a great job of exfoliating and you can feel it right after rinsing it off. You'll feel that your skin is smoother and softer! It gets in pretty deep and does a decent job of removing blackheads as well (although not fully removing them). It also effectively removes sebum from the skin!

Moisturization: This product doesn't really do that good of a job with moisture as I feel like my skin is actually stripped of hydration and sebum.

Luminous and translucent skin: This product doesn't really do anything dramatic like give you luminosity.

MY VERDICT

I think that this product is a very decent scrub that gets the job done. The other features that it boasts such as moisturization and luminosity aren't very good, but for its main purpose of being a scrub, it's great!

WILL I REPURCHASE?

Yes, I will! if I don't come across any other scrub I think I shall stick to buying this one.
