Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Nose Pack Review

November 2, 2016

Haloha! Today's post will be my review on Innisfree's Jeju Volcanic Nose Pack strips!

This is actually my second review this week, so do check out my review of Skinfood's Black Sugar Mask Wash Off as well.

I've been seeing a lot of people try blackhead strips on YouTube and I decided to give them a try as well. I don't really have any problems with my nose area but I do get some blackheads and dirt. What I do is I'll usually extract these with a metal extractor.

This nose pack was part of my Althea.kr Haul a few weeks back, and if you haven't watched that yet, do click in:

The products were generously provided by Althea.kr but in this post, all thoughts and opinions are honest and my own :)

Let's get started!

WHAT IS IT?

This product is a peel off nose pack that promises to remove blackheads and leave the skin feeling smooth.

It contains Jeju volcanic clay that's supposed to treats pores, remove blackheads and impurities. It can be used on various areas with skin concerns, including nose, forehead and chin. It's also described to have a lavender aromatic scent will comfort your mind and body.

I actually reviewed Innisfree's Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask before and loved it. I think both products are from the same series/range. Did I love the nose pack as much as I loved the clay mask? Read on and see!

WHERE  TO BUY

This costs RM14 on Althea.kr.

PACKAGING

There's 6 strips and they come packages in a carton box.

6 packs means each strip cost RM2.30~

INGREDIENTS

As I mentioned, this product contains Jeju volcanic clay. Jeju volcanic clay consists of volcanic minerals from the Jeju volcano. It's a preserved resource that has proven effective in removing sebum and other impurities from the skin.

TEXTURE & FRAGRANCE

It says that it smells like lavender but tbh it smells like paste hahaha. Here's what it looks like out of the wrapping:

All you gotta do is peel it off from the plastic and attach it to your nose.

I tried taking a picture but my new room's lighting kinda sucks :(

HOW TO USE

On the back of the box, it says to add ample water to the nose after cleansing + attach the strip. After 15 minutes, remove it and use toner.

MY REVIEW

THIS PRODUCT IS SUCH A FAIL FOR ME. The first time I tried it, I washed my face (I especially didn't scrub my nose or anything, just my cheeks and forehead). While my nose area was damp, I put the strip on and this is the result:

Where's the disturbing results that I see from YouTuber's videos? To be honest I didn't really look closely on my nose before putting the strip on, so I couldn't compare it.

On my second try I washed my face and avoided my nose area again. I stared at myself in the mirror and saw that there were a bit of blackheads and thought "Yes, there's stuff to harvest today". Big  surprise, this was the result:

Nothing again! Like look at that:

All it did was pull a bit of my peach fuzz/tiny facial hair. The thing is, when I used an extractor to extract the blackheads/whiteheads/dirt I GOT THEM OUT!

P.S Disgusting I know, but you clicked on a blackhead related post so yeah 😂 I really wanted to take a super kuazhang/extreme blackhead strip extraction photo. It cannot be that I'm blackhead-less because I do have blackheads, the strip just isn't sucking them out.

I tried it a third time after that and this time I legit didn't bathe/wash my face. I was super oily from my day and I slapped the damn strip on my nose as soon as I got home. Results?

Tadah!

If you squint you can see those tiny standing things. I have blackheads! Haha I shouldn't be this happy, but all I could think of while the strip was on my nose was "I spent money on you and I expect to see something!"

MY VERDICT

I think this didn't show extreme results with me because I personally don't have that much blackheads. Definitely works, just not that well for me.

WILL I REPURCHASE?

Definitely not. I'm better off with my trusty extractor. Plus there's this satisfying feeling when I extract it. I don't think I need to spend extra on the little blackheads that I have.

And that's it for this honest review. Do check out my review of Skin Food's Black Sugar Wash Off Scrub that I posted a the other day 😊
