Givenchy Beauty Christmas Haul • Prisme Libre Loose Powder

December 14, 2020

Hi guys, today I'll be sharing all about my recent Givenchy Beauty haul!

Ok so it's actually not a recent haul. I got this powder around May after MCO because I heard that the newly opened Givenchy Beauty store in KLCC was doing some free gifts/promotions. Yes, I am that easy to bait haha. Give me free gifts and I will come running to your store.

Anyway, Givenchy Beauty is a brand that was never really on my radar. As with most major fashion houses, they have their line of fragrances and have recently started to branch out/expand their makeup/cosmetics line. Personally, I was only ever aware of 3 facts:

1. Ariana Grande is their ambassador
2. Daniel Kang is their ambassador in Korea
3. They have a 4-in-1 powder that I've been seeing around on Instagram

The powder is quite interesting because although I've heard of colour correcting powders, this one seemed a bit...special. Because of the puff applicator, it seems like you have to use all 4 shades all at once, compared to other colour correcting powders that usually recommend using certain colours for different areas of your face (like using green to combat red areas, using lavender to combat yellowish tones, etc)

Givenchy also did a PR campaign here in Malaysia where they sponsored said powder to some big KOLs. Here's a demo by Kittie Yiyi:

Because I kept on seeing it and because Givenchy were giving gifts when you purchase the powder, I decided to bite and give it a try.

I requested for gift packaging back in May, but I checked their Facebook page and apparently, they offer more gift wrapping options during this holiday season:

GIVENCHY BEAUTY
Prisme Libre Loose Powder
RM267

A matte-finish & radiance-enhancing loose powder, Prisme Libre loose powder features a harmony of four shades that mattifies, blurs and illuminates the complexion.

First released in 2006, this powder offers a sheer, radiant finish that lasts six hours, without caking up the features. With a soft, ultra-fine texture for sublimated, natural-looking skin, it has a unique formula enriched with light-reflecting pigments to guarantee a glowing complexion in any environment.

Enclosed in a sculptural case engraved with the iconic 4G logo, it comes with a puff for application:

Available in six harmonies, Prisme Libre loose powder delivers the guarantee of a perfect complexion for all skin tones, from the lightest to the darkest.

I've yet to use it as I literally bought this powder and left the bag sitting on my vanity for months haha. I'll give it a go and update you guys with my review in the future.

GIVENCHY BEAUTY
L'Intemporel Blossom Cream
Free gift

An iridescent cream-type highlighter, this product doubles as skincare and can be used on both the face & eye contours for a radiant glow.

It claims to be able to reflect light in a way that smooths the eye contour and appears to diminish signs of fatigue.

When applied all over the face or in highlighting touches, it boosts the radiance of the targeted zone and illuminates the skin with a fresh, natural rosy shade. I personally love using glowy/highlight-y creams as my makeup base as it gives the skin a lovely "glow from within" kind of look without looking too frosty/metallic. Can't wait to give this a go!

GIVENCHY BEAUTY
L'Interdit Eau de Toilette
Free gift

Among the first perfume creations of the house of Givenchy, L'Interdit was created in 1957 and was dedicated to Audrey Hepburn (one of Givenchy's most significant muses). A renewed, modern version was released in 2018, and it is now sold as L'Interdit Givenchy.

It has a floral-woody composition and was made to show the contrast between a bouquet of white flowers (including jasmine, tuberose and orange blossom) and intense woody and earthy notes of patchouli and vetiver.

TOP NOTES: Pear and Bergamot
MIDDLE NOTES: Tuberose, Orange Blossom and Jasmine Sambac
BASE NOTES: Patchouli, Vanilla, Ambroxan and Vetiver

I was actually quite pleased to get this as a gift as it was the first thing I smelled when I entered the Givenchy store.

I also got a free mini lipstick + sachets of their other lipsticks, but I can't seem to find them anymore haha.

If you're looking to shop for some items this holiday season, they do have some perfume sets available:

They did have a 20% OFF storewide sale during 12.12, but if you missed it, they're also available online on Sephora's website (click here) so you can get most of their signature items during Sephora's 20% sale anyways.

And that's it for this post! I hope you guys found it helpful and informative.

See y'all in my next post!
