January Makeup Haul

January 17, 2017

Hi guys! Today I'll be sharing a makeup haul consisting of some of the stuff I've bought and received as presents over the holidays. Most of the products below are from Etude House because I'm a big fan of their products (their packaging is always on point!) and you can get almost everything on this list on Althea.kr.

Let's get started!
1. Innisfree No Sebum Blur Primer

I got this because my Dr. Jart Pore Medic Pore Minish primer was running low. I'm a super oily person so I decided to give this one a whirl.

2. Too Cool For School Marshmallow Puff

Prior to getting this I was using this makeup sponge I got from Forever 21. They cost around the same price and although the Forever 21 sponge was great, I read a lot of great reviews about this TCFC sponge. Plus, the shape is different! (This is me buying stuff I already have but whateva it's cute ok don't judge)

3. Skin Food Fresh Fruit Lip & Cheek Trip (#5 Fruit Mix)

This product intrigued me because I don't wear lip products and I don't wear cheek products. It's a two in one product that costs really cheap, so before investing in lip/cheek products I though I'd play around with this one first.

It's quite pigmented and it can even double up as an eye color! Just layer translucent powder over to matte-ify it. As a lip product you have to exfoliate a bit, or else your dead skin will be very visible~

4. Etude House My Little Nut Lucky Cheek Beam (Cashew Nut Beige)

This cheek beam is supposed to be used like a highlighter. It was part of their Holiday Collection and I got it because I basically saw the nutcracker packaging and died. The inner shopaholic in me wanted the whole thing, but who was I kidding I wasn't gonna be able to use most of them hahaha. This was the most reasonably priced item in that collection and I can rock it, so I settle for just this one.

5. Etude House AC Clean Up Pink Powder Mask

I actually got this one as a present from my Secret Santa at work! Although Secret Santa is supposed to be secret, I know mine was from Aina hahaha. So thanks so much Aina!

6. Etude House Color My Brows (#1 Rich Brown)

I was never a believer in browscara until I tried one. I forgot which shop I went to, but I remember thinking "okay why would I need to apply browcara after I draw my brows on". I tried it just to see what difference it would make, and it actually made my brows look better! So I went on Althea a few days after and got this one.

7. Etude House Play 101 Stick 01 Contour Duo

I hesitated so much with this product. Like, to get? Or nah? Or yes?  Or nah?

I actually tried it in an Etude House shop itself because I was scared the colour wouldn't match because it only comes in one shade and I REALLY wanted a duo stick like this. It was okay, and after much pondering, I was like "GET IT EROS GET IT". So here it is now. I have to say I was kinda expecting it to fail, but when I tried it I loved it! I shall post a review up soon 👍

8. Etude House Drawing Eye Brow

I've always preferred powder over pencil and I'm not really sure why. Maybe its because using a brush feels fancier? Anyways, I decided to switch it up and try an eyebrow pencil. I'm still getting used to it, but I just find it so hard to make sharp brows with pencils.

9. Cathy Doll Triple Eyebrow Designing (#2 Natural Brown)

Okay don't kill me I know its another brow product, but I got this from Watsons while I was waiting for my Althea order to arrive. I really liked #3 Red Brown and I though "What if you don't like the pencil??!". Basically the shopaholic in me possessed me and now I have this.

10. Lizly What A Lovely Palette

I got this in late November/early December because it was quite cheap and I saw a lot of people posting about it on Instagram~

11. Sephora Collection The Graceful Palette

Another holiday palette, this originally cost RM100 okay. I got it during Sephora.com's Boxing Sale for only RM57. I shouldn't be allowed to go online during sales really. I wasn't even shopping that day, I just wanted to go on Sephora to see the price of some product I can't remember now, and I ended up buying stuff. The colours are pretty nice and neutral, so I thought it'll be quite good to start experimenting with a basic palette.

12. Sephora Collection Colorful Eye Shadow (#34 Red Wine)

I got this because free shipping is only available for orders above RM80. If I only bought the palette, it means I'd need to pay RM57 + RM 15 shipping = RM72. Like, might as well I get something else right.

13. COC Brush Lovely Pink Brush

This is from Althea and OMG it was only RM20! It looks like the super famous Artiste brushes that were super trendy last year. I demo-ed it on my hand at application was pretty smooth~

14. Real Techniques Core Collection

Last but not least are these brushes! *I forgot to take a solo picture for the brushes* 😅 Fufy sent them over to me as a surprise late birthday present and I was so shocked omgggggggg. I've been using sponges for foundation ever since I started. When I bought my MAC foundation the girl was nice enough to help give a demo on my face. She used brushes to apply/buff/set and I looked so good! I've been talking about getting a brush set and lo and behold, Fufy got me one! Thanks shoooo much Fufy! She also included a VS body mist so I now have two (I got the other one from Caryn on my birthday)

And that's the end of this haul! I purchased some of it with the help of my Althea credits (you get credits when you purchase, 1 credit = RM1!), but I really should stop spending.

Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed my wallet's misery this post! As always, thanks for reading. See y'all in the next post!
