COS Quilted Small Shoulder Bag Review • How to purchase

November 28, 2022

Hi guys, today I'll be sharing all about the COS Quilted Small Shoulder Bag in Black, and how you can purchase it.

If you missed it, I previously did a post on the bigger version of this bag:

As the popularity of this bag is still quite strong, I thought I'd update you guys on the small version that I bought, and how I purchased it.

If you didn't already know, these bags are super hot commodities because COS limits the sale of them (well, at least here in Malaysia). They separate them into two categories: seasonal colours and basic/request colours.

Seasonal colours are funky coloured bags like yellow, hot pink, etc. Basic/request colours are plain coloured bags like black/beige/white or past seasonal colours that COS produced.

How it works is that if you step into any COS store, seasonal colours will be there for the taking. Anyone can walk in to purchase them. However, if you have a specific colour in mind (like black), you can let the staff know and they will put you inside a waiting list. The waiting time can be anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. This is because each store apparently only receives 1-2 request bags a week. Past seasonal colours are harder to get (because they're seasonal lol), but the basic ones like black and white do come back (though it takes time.

Sounds like Hermes doesn't it lol. A lot of people aren't happy about this system and I'm not sure if COS will change it soon, but for now this is how it works. You just have to keep on checking with them on your position in line and how many people are in front of you.

One tip I have is to be on all the stores' waiting list. This means being on the list in KLCC, Pavilion and The Gardens. It's hard to get a bag because there are a lot of resellers, and I heard the staff themselves buy the bags and resell them. If you check on Carousell, the large bag I have is being resold for RM1200 when the retail value is only around RM380!

After about 2 months of waiting, I got my requested small bag in black!

Here's a what's in my bag video of what fits inside:

It really does fit a lot, and I love how it can even fit my camera.

I've been bringing this around everywhere and it has replaced my Lonchamp Replay to become my default black hole bag haha.

One thing to keep in mind is that as more and more people want this bag, the more mainstream it becomes. I'm kind of getting tired of it too because literally all the fashion people in KL have one.

@fishmeatdie if you don’t have this bag you don’t know ~fesyen~ 😗 this COS quilted bag is so in demand! @COS #cos #cosstores #cosbag #cosquiltedbag #bagsofkl #tiktokfashion #fypfashion #fyp #fypmalaysia #malaysia ♬ Another One Thank You - XEL

Nevertheless, it's still a cute bag. It retails in-store for RM190 which is a really reasonable price in my opinion. I also didn't get any stitching issues like my previous bag.

And that's it for this post! I hope you guys found it helpful and informative.

See y'all in my next post!
