Arabica Coffee Malaysia now open in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

May 24, 2021

Hi guys, today I'll be sharing all about my recent visit to Arabica Coffee in Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur.

If you live in KL, I'm sure you've heard that Arabica has arrived in Malaysia and has set up their first outlet in Pavilion. Super popular in Japan (and in other countries as well) for being a hipster/instagrammable cafe, it was super popular when it opened and you could hardly ever visit without having to queue for at least 40 minutes.

With MCO 3.0 in full effect, the crowd has now died down and since I noticed that it was almost completely empty when I passed by today, I decided to finally get a cup of coffee and to see what it was all about.

Back in the days when dining it was available, you could sit outside the store:

There are also seats inside, but I would say that the space is actually quite small and cramped, so it would be better to sit outside.

The inside, however, is more popular because of the mirror ceiling, and most people take their IG shots here. I was lucky enough to be able to snap these clear shots with no crowd!

The aesthetic is pretty clean and simple:

Here's the coffee menu:

And here's the price list for their coffee beans:

Because the place was empty, I managed to snap a few quick pics before leaving the store:

I ordered the normal caffe latte and to be honest, I was disappointed. I don't mind paying more for coffee if it actually tastes good, but this was actually pretty bad. If I had to describe it, it tasted like milk watered down with a lot of water that has a coffee aftertaste hahaha.

Also, the straw was so cheap that it broke immediately when I left the store, and I had to go back in to ask for a new one.

They do have some merch like bags and bottles on sale as well, but I don't really have any big attraction to the brand so I don't really see their appeal, especially at that price point.

Overall I think it's okay to visit and snap some pics if you ever chance upon it empty like I did, but if you're coming solely for the coffee, I recommend you buy from another store.

And that's it for this short post! I hope you guys found it helpful and informative.

See y'all in my next post!
