Hi guys! Today I'll be sharing all about YSL Beauty's new Le Cushion Encre De Peau Lamé Limited Edition, as well as their current Member's Day promotions!

Last year's release came in a faux-leather case reminiscent of their bags. This year, YSL Beauty has released a new lamé version!
Compared to the original cushion which was available in 8 shades, this limited edition is only available in 3 shades. Since it's refillable, you can definitely swap it out for your preferred shade. YSL Beauty is actually currently running a promotion where you can get either a free refill or lipstick when you purchase the new cushion, so I highly recommend taking advantage of that while it's still available,
Full disclosure, I did not purchase this cushion and received it in PR. I have however, personally purchased stuff from YSL Beauty both online and offline before, and I can say the experience is the same. You get the same chic black packaging, and you can request for samples/gift wrapping.

Now dressed in a precious black-spun Lamé fabric case and detailed with a delicate veil of pearlescent shimmer, this ultra-luxe collector’s edition also features the YSL Cassandre logo comes embossed in gold on the top.
If you're wondering what makes this different from last year's cushion, release, the answer is packaging. It still features the same formula/cushion inside. With a formula designed to achieve a radiant, smoother-looking complexion at home or on the go, the skin is emphasised and hydrated, bringing a sensation of freshness with every use.
The cushion is also enriched with jasmine petals harvested from YSL Beauty’s Ourika Gardens, helping to deliver antioxidant protection to the skin.
The cushion is gorgeous, and I love how glam it looks. It definitely an eye-catching item, and its perfect for those looking for a cushion you can use on-the-go to touch up while still looking chic and fab.

According to YSL, you can use the cushion by itself or as a top-up over your favourite liquid foundation for luminous skin all day long.
Formula-wise, I love this cushion! The glow is subtle and natural, and I love how nice and refreshed the skin looks. I would recommend this to someone looking for a makeup base that looks like dewy skin. Coverage wise, it's pretty buildable as well. It managed to conceal my acne scars and my upper lip area pretty decently without the help of concealer.
I actually got the first cushion only for the purpose of collecting it, but I actually ended up really liking the finish and using it regularly. I just wish they released a wider range of shades!

Coincidentally, I posted this pic below on my IG story last week. It's their top-selling Mon Paris perfume that I got as a gift last year. I've been wanting it for the longest time and it's definitely one of my fave scents.

My verdict on the cushion? If you currently do not own a Le Cushion, I would recommend going for this as you can get the limited edition packaging + the free refill/lipstick. If you already have last year's cushion, I only recommend taking advantage of the promo and getting this if you use cushions regularly or if you're into collecting like me!
