Loreal Paris Revitalift Crystal Micro-Essence Review

October 8, 2020

Hi guys, today I'll be sharing all about the Revitalift Crystal Micro-Essence from Loreal Paris.

Powered by micronized technology, the L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Crystal Micro-Essence is an ultra-lightweight essence can penetrate up to ten skin layers deep, allowing for efficient absorption. It's formulated with salicylic acid derivatives that help to control excess oil sebum and minimize pores, as well as my fave centella asiatica to heal and repair the skin

Promising brighter and more radiant skin in just 7 days, this essence promises to refine and smoothen the skin, minimizing pores and fighting the signs of ageing.

I recently got this essence in the mail to try out, and I've actually been seeing it around for quite some time now. The bottle I got comes in a limited-edition design, and I have to say, I love the minimalist packaging!

So today, I'll be sharing all about my experience using this product.

Usually retailing for RM79.90, you can get this 130ml bottle during Watsons' 10.10 promo for only RM55.93. It's also available in a smaller 65ml bottle which usually retails for RM49.90 but is currently on sale for RM34.93

Being that the packaging is glass and it has 130ml worth of product inside it, I think the price point is very affordable!

The box of the limited edition version I have is very nice and minimalist as well:

The glass bottle itself does not have much info printed on it (which I don't mind) and is white in colour:

This essence did not come sealed, but the cap itself does have a stopper to help keep the essence airtight and secure:

This product is paraben-free, sulfate-free, fungal acne-safe, silicone-free and contains minimal ingredients. It does contain some fragrance and alcohol, so if you're someone with sensitive skin, you may wanna take note of that/do a patch test first.

The key ingredients of this essence are Salicylic Acid and my fave Centella Asiatica. Salicylic Acid has been with me since my high school days, and it's a great ingredient that helps to mildly exfoliate the skin, refining pores and skin texture. Centella Asiatica, on the other hand, is known for its healing powers and its ability to repair the skin (which makes it great for those with acne-prone skin like me), helping smooth out lines and wrinkles in the process.

Other noteworthy ingredients in this essence are Madecassoside (aka centella lol which promotes wound healing), Adenosine (which helps with anti-ageing) and Butylene Glycol which is powerfully moisturizing.

This essence is clear in colour and has a slight fragrance. I quite like the scent as it's not too much.

The texture is ultra-lightweight, and Loreal actually says that it's because of the micronized droplets which absorb easily into the skin, leaving it feeling fresh and non-sticky.

Like any essence, I pour 3-4 drops on my palms and pat it into my skin after toning to prep my skin for my other products. Because it's pretty lightweight, I do sometimes go in 2-3 times and layer it on for even deeper moisture. I use it both during the day and night as it's so comfy!

I also use these as mini masks by soaking some cotton pads with essence and leaving them on my cheeks for 15 -20 minutes, but if you want, Loreal actually sells this essence in a sheet mask format as well.

My first impression of it is that it was more comfy and lightweight than I had initially thought it was gonna be. It's literally like water that absorbs quickly into the skin! I love that it doesn't leave my skin feeling sticky, and I quite liked the fragrance.

As an essence, I would say that it's among the more nicer ones that I've tried. Granted that this is a drugstore product, I find it to be on par with some of the Korean essences that I have. If you're someone with more mature skin, this might be a bit too thin for you and you might want to try out something with more potent anti-ageing ingredients. However, for those in their 20s, I feel like this is a great daily essence, especially during the day because of its lightweight texture.

In terms of its efficacy, this product promises clearer skin in just 7 days, and although I didn't miraculously get amazing skin after only 7 days, I did notice some positive changes. It does help to keep the skin soft and hydrated, and I did notice that my skin texture seemed slightly smoother. Overall it's a good product, and I'm going to continue using it

With its current discounted price, super chic minimalist packaging and pretty good performance, I definitely would consider repurchasing this product again!

And that's it for this post! I hope you guys found it helpful and informative.

See y'all in my next post!
