#BELovesBali Stay 3: Puri Bali Bungalows Hotel Bali Review

July 17, 2019

Hi guys, today I'll be sharing about one of the places I stayed at while I was in Bali: the Puri Bali Bungalows Hotel.

During our Bali trip, my group and I decided to book a different stay for each night that we were in Bali because we would be exploring different parts of Bali + it would be more convenient to stay in each area than wasting time on long car rides during the day. This stay is the third among our five stays, and we booked in on Agoda.

This post was not sponsored in any way by Agoda. I actually wanted to book our stays on different platforms (Airbnb, Homeaway, Booking) so that I could do a comparison post, but we ended up booking everything on Agoda! One of the main reasons being that the selection was the biggest + the prices were super low. To view my overall review of Agoda during this trip, click here!

Stay #3 - May 18 to 19: Puri Bali Hotel • ~RM161.10

The reason why we came this far away from Ubud was because we wanted to go to the Sekumpul Waterfall, Danau Beratan and the Marigold Bali Flower field/Bali Gemitir Farm. Do note that these places are super far from Ubud, and it would be better to have a driver and stay somewhere near those areas for 1 night like we did.

I didn't get to snap pics when we arrived as it was too dark, but here are some snaps the day after:

It was simple enough, and for the price I was quite okay for the quality that we got. Here we have the terrace:

Our room:

Our bathroom:

Here's the view from our terrace (our room was on the 2nd floor):

The dining area is located near the reception, and it's very simple.

The breakfast that came with our booking was very simple as well, but I fell in love with the pineapple pancakes they served!

Before our breakfast we actually walked around Lovina Beach, and you can see the pics we snapped on that beach by clicking here.

After our morning beach walk and breakfast, we headed back to our room to pack. Here's what the compound looked like!

There were some landed houses:

And there were rooms that came in 2 storeys like ours:

Although the houses seemed pretty modern, the decor and details were still very Balinese:

There is a very big pool, and the entire compound/space was actually bigger than I expected:

There were lots of tropical flowers around the pool area:

And picturesque spots as well:

There are lots of sunbeds for you to relax:

And pagodas/little huts as well:

If you're travelling with kids, I think this place would be a nice place to stay in. The pool area is very safe, and it's hidden from public as well.

If you prefer a beach, however, Lovina Beach is just a 2-minute walk away.

Overall I think this place was a hidden gem. We only booked it because it was cheap and we needed a placed to sleep in around Singaraja, but it turned out to be a very nice stay. If you're planning to travel on this side of Bali, I recommend giving Puri Bali Bungalows Hotel a go!
