Belif UV Protector Almighty Sun Stick Review

July 8, 2019

Hi guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be sharing my review of Belif's UV Protector Almighty Sun Stick.

Summer is upon us! It's super important to apply sunblock every day (even when it's not sunny out) to ensure that your skin is fully protected. Wearing sunblock not only shields your skin from harmful UV rays, it also helps keep your skin looking young and fresh. Sun damage is the most common cause of premature ageing, and as someone who wants to look forever 21, I plan on getting and using all the protection I can get my hands on.

Belif (one of my fave K-beauty brands ever) recently renewed their UV Protector sun care line and launched 3 sunblocks, each with a different texture and formula.

Belif UV Protector Tone-Up Sunscreen
Belif UV Protector Multi Sunscreen+

With three new and improved products featuring both SPF and PA protection, each UV protector comes with additional benefits to suit different lifestyles, skin types and skin concerns. As you guys know, Belif believes in using herbs to improve the skin's health, and all 3 of these new UV Protectors contain a unique blend of protective botanical ingredients (that I'll be talking more about below)

In this post I'll be sharing my thoughts and review on one of the UV Protectors: the UV Protector Almighty Sun Stick.

The UV Protector Almighty Sun Stick is a stick-type clear balm sunscreen that can be easily applied onto the skin, making it perfect for those who are always on the go. The clear balm type formula glides on easily, allowing convenient touch-ups over makeup or during sports. It has SPF50 PA++++ and uses Porous Sebum Care Powder to create a smooth, matte finish, leaving you comfortably shine-free all day. It's swear-proof too!

This product is available on THE FACE SHOP's E-store for RM183, but you can currently get it for only RM 96 + get a free full-sized product as well:

Belif previously used to only be available in Belif's flagship stores in KLCC + Mid Valley, but you'll soon be able to see them more often! Belif will be coming to THE FACE SHOP stores nationwide, and you'll be able to shop all of their best sellers with ease.

Similar to all Belif products, this sunscreen comes in a gray box:

In front it shows that this sunblock is dermatologically tested:

It has more info on the back + a mirror on the top of the cap for convenience when you apply/reapply

To dispense product, you simply have to twist the tube to get the stick to come out. It's pretty easy to control + you can easily retract the stick back into the case:

Here are more shots of the box:

Like all Belif products, this sunblock is formulated without mineral oils, animal-derived ingredients, synthetic fragrances, tar pigments and synthetic preservatives.

As I mentioned above, this sunblock features a unique blend of protective botanical ingredients, and these ingredients help protect and improve the skin:

1. Noni - provide calming effect against sunlight
- A fruit native to the French Polynesia that is used to treat wounds and inflammation

2. Woodbine - anti-oxidant effect
- A weather-resistant herb also known as Honeysuckle. Used as a healing herb since ancient times, it is used alleviate swelling & inflammation

3. Calendula - protects skin against UV-induced stress
- One of my fave flowers in skincare, Calendula is used to treat wounds & infections.

4. Molokhia - prevents premature ageing
- Rich in minerals and contains 20x carotene, 35x calcium, 20x vitamin B2 than spinach. Rich in antioxidants, this ingredient was said to be used by Cleopatra to moisturize & improve the skin's strength.

This product has a stick-type clear balm texture, and although it looks slightly yellow, it is actually transparent once applied. It was pretty hard for me to take swatches because it was so invisible/thin hahaha. Here's what the product's balm looks like shaved off:

And here's what it looks like spread:

Of course in real life, you won't shave it off/use such a thick layer. I just wanted to share the texture with you guys. Once you apply it it is fully transparent & matte, fully invisible and hidden from the naked eye.

It has little to no scent and leaves the skin feeling soft and matte.

Like with all my sunscreen, I apply this during the day after my moisturizer. For best protection, apply your sunblock 30 minutes before you step out into the sun!

After using this sunblock, I can definitely see the advantage + ease of using a stick formula. It's so easy to apply (you don't even have to wash/sanitize your hands because you don't physically touch the product), and it's so handy too. I think this product is perfect if you're going on a holiday/trip or doing some outdoor activity and you need speed + ease.

I think out of all 3 sunblocks that I got from Belif, my fave would have to be the multi sunscreen. I'm a huge fan of the glowy look + I love the scent. I didn't really like the scent of the tone up one, nor did I feel like having a toned-up face every day. I just feel like I will get the most use out of the multi sunscreen. As for the stick, I do like it, but I prefer to use it in the office. Before I leave for work, I pat in the multi sunscreen at the end of my skincare routine. I then top up during the day with the almighty sun stick. By the middle of the day my sebum secretion will be at its highest, and I feel like the almighty sun stick's matte finish is perfect for bringing my shine down a notch (while still giving me protection).

Yes! Out of all 3 sunblocks from Belif that I tried out, I think I'll repurchase the Multi Sunscreen & the Almighty Sun Stick. I love their functionality + texture, and I would not mind getting them again once I run out.

And that's it for this review! Remember to always wear SPF to keep your skin young + protected.

If you're interested in checking out any of the sunblocks I mentioned here on this post, you can try + check them out in Belif's flagship stores as well as online on The Face Shop's e-store.

Thanks for dropping by my blog, see ya in my next post!
