L'Occitane now open in The Gardens Mall

June 20, 2019

Hi guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be sharing all about Loccitane's brand new flagship store that's now open in The Gardens Mall, Mid Valley!

Yesterday I got to visit and experience L'Occitane's latest flagship store in The Gardens Mall.

Address:
Lot F241, 1st Floor, The Gardens Mid Valley Megamall, Lingkaran Syed Putra

Phone:
603-2283 1887

Decked in their signature yellow and blue, the new flagship store features L'Occitanes best selling products, including skin care, body care, fragrances and more.

They have everything you could ever want, and I found myself most drawn to their hand lotion + body lotion section because there were so many choices!

There is also a gift atelier where you can get your purchases professionally wrapped, and you can also choose from one of their pre-selected gift sets available:

L'Occitane is currently doing a campaign called Big Little Things where you get deluxe seize products by giving them your empty cosmetic containers for recycling! I think its a great initiative, and I'll definitely be dropping by to trade my empties soon.

They have lots of friendly sales representatives around that are willing to tell you more about their products, give a free consultation & show you how each product works.

If you guys remember from my Immortelle Reset review, L'Occitane is famous for their Immortelle Flower extract and their Immortelle series.

The Immortelle flower has extraordinary longevity and possesses amazing anti-aging properties. Native to France, Italy and some neighbouring countries, its oil is very costly and is scarcely available.

Unlike other essential oils which have a short shelf life, this oil can be stored for a very long time. It has a strong impact against free radicals, significantly stimulates collagen production, stimulates tissue changes, improves microcirculation and skin detoxification and acts as an antiseptic that purifies the skin.

During my visit to L'Occitane's new store in The Gardens Mall, I had the chance to learn more about the Immortelle line, especially the Immortelle Divine Youth Oil.

Formulated to nourish, balance and repair the skin, the Divine Youth Oil contains pure essential oils and Divine flower cell extracts, stimulating microcirculation and collagen synthesis by up to 6 times the normal rate, effectively protecting the skin against irritants and pollution.

Plant oils are great anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory ingredients. They help balance the skin and act as an emollient, hydrating, healing, nourishing and preventing photodamage on the skin.

The Divine Youth Oil is lightweight and non-greasy, making it suitable even for those with oily skin. It not only provides anti-ageing benefits to the skin but also helps skincare products penetrate the skin deeper.

L'Occitane actually has a test called the Tape Test where they demonstrate how effectively the Divine Youth Oil helps your skin care products absorb better and faster into the skin.

How it works is that they stick two pieces of tape on both your hands (these tapes have a similar structure to our skin). They then apply the a few drops of serum on one hand, while they apply a few drops of the divine oil + a few drops of serum on the other. After letting them absorb for the same amount of time, they then peel the tape off to show you the difference.

Although more product was applied on the hand with the oil + serum, I was surprised to feel that the tape was almost dry + that my skin had fully absorbed both products, while the one with only the serum was still moist &v wet!

Its light, silky texture was really comfy, and it didn't leave any sort of shiny residue on my skin. To be honest, before this session I was quite skeptical of facial oils because I was afraid they would be too much on my oily skin. L'Occitane informed us that the reason people get breakouts from face oils wasn't because of the oil itself, but because of the application method. You are not supposed to apply it directly onto your skin, but rather warm up a few drops on your palms and pat it in.

After using the Divine Youth Oil every day, your skin is supposed to appear nourished and more radiant. It also claims to reduce the appearance of wrinkles + help your skin regain its firmness and elasticity.

I went home that day with my own bottle of the Divine Youth Oil to try out, and I'll be sharing my review of it with you guys in the future!

If you guys are around Mid Valley, I definitely recommend dropping by L'Occitane's new store. Exchange your empties for deluxe sizes or try out their products yourself! The Tape Test that I experienced is available for all customers, and you simply have to ask their friendly staff about it.

I had a nice afternoon learning all about the Divine Youth Oil, and I can't wait to try it out and see how it affects my skin.

Thanks for dropping by my blog, see ya in the next post!
