Purito Centella Green Level Eye Cream Review

March 19, 2019

Hi guys, today I'll be sharing all about Purito's Centella Green Level Eye Cream.

Last year I did a post about my Purito discoveries, and I'm glad to say that they stood the test of time! 😍 I've repurchased their products + their Fermented Complex 94 Boosting Essence is still my current fave essence.

Purito stands for Purify +  (tu/soil), and it means to find the pure and safe wonders of nature found in our soil. They understand that Korean cosmetics are all the rage, but instead of relying on hype, they want to focus on ingredients that will benefit the skin. They focus on natura ingredients as well as having only EWG Green Level ingredients in their products.

Purito recently sent over 3 new items for me to try out, so this time around I'll be sharing my in-depth review about them with you guys.

The products that I received were the:

Centella Green Level Calming Toner
Centella Green Level Eye Cream
Centella Green Level Recovery Cream

All 3 products are from Purito's Centella Green Level Line, which means all of their ingredients are EWG green level/very unlikely to irritate the skin 💚.

Just a disclosure, although the products were sent to me as PR, I'll still be sharing my honest thoughts and experience with the products.

Without any further ado, let's get on with the review!

WHAT IS IT
One of their latest releases, Purito's Centella Green Level Eye Cream gently firms the eyes without stimulating it. It contains 4 types of peptides and penetrates deeply into the skin, forming a protective skin barrier on the eye area.

WHERE TO BUY
If you're in Korea, you can get the full size 30ml tube on Purito's official website for USD14.70. Its not available on Althea, but you can get it internationally on eopenmarket for cheaper at only USD9.60. You can also get it internationally on Ebay by clicking here.

PACKAGING
The packaging is in line with Purito's other products. It has the same colour (green) as the other products in the same line:

And it comes in a brown recyclable box:

The nozzle comes sealed when you first get it as well:

INGREDIENTS
This product is paraben-free, sulfate-free, alcohol-free, silicone-free, EU allergen-free & fungal acne safe. As they claimed, the product only contains EWG green-level ingredients, which means that they will be very unlikely to irritate the skin:

This eye cream contains 49% Centella Asiatica extract, highly enriched Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid and Madecassic Acid, protecting the skin around the eyes. It also contains 4 peptide extracts (Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 and Palmitoyl Dipeptyde-10), and these four help to improve skin elasticity of the eye area.

Aside from those core ingredients, this eye cream also includes other ingredients that promotes wound healing (Panthenol & Sodium Hyaluronate), helps with anti-aging - (Adenosine & Ceramide), help brighten the eye area (Acetyl Glucosamine) and moisturize dry skin (Panthenol, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Shea Butter & Glycerin)

FRAGRANCE & TEXTURE
This eye cream is white in colour and smells slightly fruity, but the scent doesn't linger for long. It has a light cream texture and I find that it feels light & refreshing on my eye area, and I feel like its not thick but thick enough. At my current age, I prefer this kind of texture in my eye products over gel eye products because I feel like its rich enough for my eye area. It absorbs fast and doesn't make my eye area feel heavy/sticky. Once it absorbs, my eye area feels very nourished + not shiny/sticky at all.

HOW TO USE
I recommend using this after toner and before anything else so that no other products are applied to your delicate eye area.

Cleanser - Toner - Eye Cream - Serum - Moisturizer

According to Purito's website, you can also use it as the last step of your routine on your entire face for extra care.

MY REVIEW & VERDICT
I think this eye cream is perfect for my current situation. Thick enough to be nourishing & moisturizing but thin enough to be absorbed fully + not be too thick and rich. If you're someone who is more mature, I think you would prefer something thicker/richer, but if you're like me who needs a product that will help with maintaining + preventing further wrinkles.

I can't really speak about this product's effects on improving wrinkles as I have no visible deep wrinkles yet, but I can say that this product is indeed very moisturizing and nourishing. I noticed an improvement in my eye area in terms of lesser dark circles + overall feeling smoother, softer and plumper.

Overall for the price and performance, I really like this eye cream. I like it better than my previous Innisfree Eco Science Eye Cream and it on par with The Face Shop's Therapy Eye Creme (my fave eye cream of all time). It dispenses product hygienically and the product itself absorbs quickly into the skin effectively doing what it says it'll do.

WILL I REPURCHASE
Definitely! I think it's a good, more affordable dupe for my fave Therapy Eye Cream from The Face Shop and I would definitely consider getting another tube.
