Astaka Morocco Moroccan Pavilion, Putrajaya KL

August 14, 2018 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Hi alls, today I'll be sharing about my recent trip to Astaka Morocco Moroccan Pavilion in Putrajaya!

I first found out about this place thanks to Chency & Amelie, so a huge shout out to them!

This pavilion resembles palaces in Morocco and was built as a cultural exchange between Malaysia and Morocco. I thought it would be great to drop by during the weekend to take some OOTD shots for my Instagram, and I was definitely not disappointed!

Address:
Astaka Morocco, Presint 1, 62000 Putrajaya

The pavilion is located in Putrajaya, meaning it's quite some distance from the KL city center. You can take a car or a ride-hailing app to get to there since there's no immediate train station nearby. My group and I left from Bangsar and it cost us RM35 one way (I recommend taking MyCar because it's cheaper than Grab!)

Once we arrived I was totally amazed by how legit everything looked! At the entrance, you have the name + an archway:

Once you pass it there's some fountains + another entrance:

And after that second entrance is the main pavilion with 2 corridors and a main pool in the middle:

The detail and decor of the place is just S T U N N I N G! It looks very detailed and looks really authentic (especially the decor on the pillars & ceiling):

From this point onwards it will just be OOTD shots for your viewing pleasure/reference hahaha. There's nothing much to do there aside from taking pictures. I recommend going during weekdays or during the morning if you can, because when we went (Saturday 3pm) it was loaded with people taking graduation pics/wedding pics/all pics in general so I had to wait/photoshop most of the people who were photobombing me haha.

Here's what the corridor/walkways look like:

The doorways:

By the way, the girl featured here is my friend/colleague Bokoaz!

The garden:

The waterways:

And the pool! To be honest the pool was the hardest are to take pictures in because there was almost always someone who was photobombing haha. At least for the corridors, the pillars can block them!

*We totally look like a couple on a holiday/honeymoon together hahahahaha*

Other than that, here are some extra shots by the pool + the walls & decor of the pavilion:

I freaking love this shot above okay!! Mad props to my brother Yuri for taking such amazing shots that day!

Once you go past the pool, there's actually an inner room which I think is for prayer:

A RM3 entrance fee is required, and you aren't allowed to take pictures inside so we decided not to go in.

And that's it for this post! I hope you guys like the pictures (I know I did) and found some inspo for your IG. I'll be posting the shots on my Instagram over a while (since there were so many good shots), & I definitely recommend coming if you're in need for some wanderlust-y, travel-themed photos. If you guys know of more unique travel spots in KL, do let me know in the comments down below!

After this we visited the Putra Mosque in Putrajaya as well, and although there aren't as many pictures as this post, it's still quite and interesting place! (Click here to read all about it)

Do follow my brother's photography IG @emajor!

See y'all in the next post!
