#ErosMonth2017

December 1, 2017

Hola everyone, welcome to a recap #ErosMonth2017!

Before anything else, let's start this post off with a super enhanced pic taken by Bo's Casio camera 🤣:

OMG Why is it already December? I feel like time really flies, but when you're working it really just rockets off. Most of my time is spent at work but at this point, I don't really mind. The best thing about working in Althea (aside from the products we get to try + getting to wear sheet masks at work) is truly the people. I couldn't have asked for a better team!

If you guys follow me on Instagram and keep up with my Instastories, you'll see that work so far has been very enjoyable. A lot of people have the impression that it's all just fun and games hahaha. I mean of course I do do tons work, the stories are kind of like a highlight reel that I enjoy rewatching at the end of day.

Our SNS + editorial team has expanded and now includes Julie from Denmark and Andrea from Indonesia!

Looking back on the snaps I saved...it seems like we're always either at work or eating out haha.

On Halloween, Bo decided to dress up as Annabelle and Syd went as Wednesday Addams. I was totally sick at the time and didn't even attempt to dress up as anything, but Tammy brought her zombie patient costume and it was perfect! All I had to do was put it over my clothes + add some eyeshadow to make my eyebags even darker (they were already pretty dark to begin with haha)

November (or as I like to call it, Eros Month) started with me returning to Penang for my graduation. I didn't realize how much I missed Penang food until I touched down and had my first hawker meal. I also realized that since I left Penang last August, I hadn't returned even once to the island.

I made the most out of my Penang trip and ate so much while I was back hahaha. It was great meeting my old classmates and even better that I got to meet up with TBC 💖 (Although Fufy and Kevin were missing...)

My time in Penang was a real walk down memory lane. I passed by roads, shops and places that felt so distant but only a year ago were so familiar to me. When I was still in college last year I thought "wow, I can't believe how much I've changed since high school", and I kinda had the same though this time round, but with college. One year can really make a difference on how you see yourself, how you view the world and on your overall situation in life.

On the day of our graduation itself, not a lot of my classmates came. Some were continuing their degrees and some just didn't care for the occasion since they would be getting the certs anyway. I think only around 18-ish people from my class came, but it was still great seeing everyone.

I was also grateful for my parents and siblings who came from Melaka and braved the heavy monsoon weather just to attend.

The first person to greet me happy birthday this year was actually Sasa from The Face Shop! She took me out for lunch and even got me a whole ice cream cake! Definitely thankful to have the lovely people from The Face Shop in my life this year too, may our relationship grow stronger as I grow more as a blogger!

They also gave me a Yehwadam serum as a gift like OMG my lifeeee 😭💖💖💖

As for my team, we had a double surprise party! We basically organized a surprise baby shower for Mira, but at the end my team surprised me with a birthday cake + present as well!

We had a blue themed lunch in Delectable by Su, and although we thought the food provided was too little, we were proven wrong because we all felt super full in the end haha.

The celebrations continued in the office a few days later when we celebrated all the November babies' birthdays!

The actual day of my 21st birthday just came and went like a normal day. I initially planned to have a high tea party but because I was sick I had to cancel all my plans 🙁

At around 5pm (whilst rolling around in bed) I thought it was too pathetic to let my birthday go uncelebrated, so I jio-ed Dash and Anis (who lived nearby) for Ddakgalbi. After dinner we had some chocolate, and they surprised me with a birthday choco crepe!

Me in all my bare-faced glory hahaha.

To end Eros Month, I went out for high tea (finally) with Caryn in the Hilton. Click here to read more about that!

So to sum things up, I'm now one year older and one year wiser. Although I don't feel any different than how I felt like last year, I've definnitely changed a lot. Right now my life is full of work and I'm keeping busy, and I feel like change is coming. Change isn't something bad beause it always ends up changing me for the better but I can't help but to always dread something new that I know is headed my way.

And that's all for this post! I hope you guys found it interesting hahaha. As always, thanks for reading and see y'all in the next post!
