Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask Review

September 19, 2017

Hi guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be sharing my review of Klairs' Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask.

I also made a video on my Youtube channel so if you're not a fan of reading, you can listen + watch my review instead 😉

A lot of you may be familiar with Klairs' Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop serum. Its a popular Vitamin C serum that promises to improve skin tone and texture.

Klairs recently expanded the Freshly Juiced Line with the release of their new Vitamin E mask. They were super awesome and sent me both products to try out and share with you guys.

WHAT IS IT

Instead of Vitamin C like the serum, the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask is incorporated with vitamin E. Vitamin E is known to be an excellent antioxidant and also acts as a skin care booster. This product promises to help people with dry, sensitive, and aging skin. Although I do not have dry and sensitive skin, I was very intrigued by the anti-aging claims that it had. I've mentioned several times here on my blog that I wanna look 20 when I'm in my 40s hahaha.

Although the name says mask, this product is actually supposed to be mainly used as a moisturizer. Because it's part of the Freshly Juiced range, it's actually recommended to use both products together. Vitamin E is most effective when used with vitamin C as they enhance the effectiveness of each other by creating an antioxidant network that protects the skin from active oxygen, thus preventing aging. Vitamin E also prevents vitamin C from being oxidized before being absorbed by the skin, intensifying the skin-improving effects of vitamin C.

This product is available on ShopeeSG for SGD36.30, but you can currently get it for only $29.04  (click here). You can also get it on Wishtrend (click here). Use my referral link to get USD5 off your first Wishtrend purchase!

PACKAGING

Similar to the serum, the new Vitamin E mask comes packaged in an amazing holographic box! Packaging is definitely one of this range's selling points, like do you see how amazing it looks?

The product itself comes packaged in a luxurious tub with a spatula for hygienic scooping.

INGREDIENTS

The main ingredients in this mask are Vitamin E, Niacinamide, Adenosine, and Sodium Hyaluronate.

The type of Vitamin E in this mask is Tocopherol Acetate. It is found in our skin and protects us against peroxides and pro-oxidants. Although we have it inside our skin, having too little can allow harmful substances like pollution. Having too little can also speed up again, so its important to apply it topically.

Vitamin E also softens the skin, soothes inflammation and protects our skin from sun damage.

Niacinamide is another popular ingredient in skincare as it helps control sebum secretion and improve acne. As someone with oily skin, I always try to look out for acne battling ingredients and Niacinamide is one of my faves. This product is formulated with 2% niacinamide and this helps stabilize and enhance the effcets of vitamin C (so its perfect for to use after a vitamin C serum).

Sodium Hyaluronate is known to help retain water in the skin, giving it a plumping effect. Adenosine is a new ingredient to me and I read online that it helps strengthen the skin, promotes collagen and improves wrinkles. It also improves acne caused by oily skin.

TEXTURE AND FRAGRANCE

This product is white in colour and has a pudding like texture.

At first I was really hesitant to destroy the pristine jelly in the tub, but I saw that the next day it flattened out again

The spatula is great for hygienic scooping. The product has a vitamin/slightly medical scent that's similar to lemon. It really feels like pudding and spreads really well. I only use one spatula's worth of product for my whole face.

After applying it, it has a slightly shiny finish, but once its fully absorbed it does not look shiny at all. Due to the nature of vitamin E, the stickiness increases when you use more. Since I have oily skin, I find that 1 scoop is enough and that it feels fairly light on the skin. Its not matte and not shiny, more of a satin/healthy finish.

Once it's absorbed you can immediately feel the skin softening effects and I really like that! It says that it can provide moisture of up to 8 hours.

HOW TO USE

It suggested to use this product after cleansing. Usually how I use it is:

Cleanser - toner - serum - moisturizer

You can also mix this product into ANY skincare product to boost it. How cool is that?! By mixing it, you will get an upgraded version with additional brightening, wrinkle-repairing, and moisturizing effects. You can mix in however much you like depending on how your skin type is and how you like your product's texture to be. I find COSRX's COSRX Natural BHA Skin Returning Emulsion to be great but not moisturzing enough. I mixed both the emulsion and half a scoop of the Vitamin E mask at night and I woke up to hydrated, blemish free skin!

MY REVIEW + VERDICT

Although this product is targeted for dry skin that needs moisture, I find that it works very well with my oily skin. Upon application my face really felt immediately plump, and as my day goes on it feels hydrated but lightweight. I love the firmness of my skin and how soft to the touch it becomes! In the morning I use it with my Therapy First Serum from The Face Shop and at night I use it with the Klairs Vitamin Drop Serum + my COSRX Natural BHA Skin Returning Emulsion.

After a week of using this, I feel like the Vitamin E & niacinamide gave my skin a subtle brightening and firming effect! I feel like my skin texture is better/smoother and my scars look slightly lighter. I cannot wait to see what the long term effects of this will be!

As for makeup, it provides an excellent base for concealer and foundation. I don't feel the need to prime as my face feels smooth and hydrated enough.

And that was it for my review of  Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask! Stay tuned for my review of the Vitamin Drop Serum!

As always, thanks for dropping by 💖 See y'all in the next post!

  2. On the off chance that a natural product is expended after a substantial sustenance, processing of the organic product is deferred and it will mature or fester in the stomach, making it less valuable. Ejuice
