Dirty Benefits Turns 2! 🎉 Launch of Dirty Benefits Clay Masks

August 28, 2017

Hi guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be sharing with you guys all about Dirty Benefits' 2nd Birthday Bash that I attended last Saturday.

First off: Happy Birthday Dirty Benefits, congratulations on two years! 🎉 If you guys can remember, I did a blog post about Dirty Benefits last December:

Dirty Benefits is a local Malaysia company specializing in coffee scrubs and all-natural skincare. They ship internationally and believe in creating products that give you noticeable results.

The birthday party was held in OpenSpace (SS15):

Although the decor was simple, it was so clean and minimalist! The birthday cake and food were by Chef Debbie Teoh.

There was also a stand by Niko Neko Matcha, a luxury Matcha brand that focuses on premium quality matcha.

They served both hot and cold drinks. While the hot one was more instagrammable, the cold one definitely suited my tastes better haha.

So, back to the event! Aside from celebrating their 2nd birthday:

Dirty Benefits also officially launched their new Clay Masks! It's their first foray into facial skinacare and I was super excited to be one of the first to try them out.

DB is launching a total of 4 clay masks (Pure, Youth, Heal and Bliss) and two were displayed for us to preview during the party.

Dirty Benefits' clay masks are special because instead of getting clay right off the bat, you actually have to mix the powder into water to create the clay. By doing this, they managed to exclude preservatives from the product!

Mixing the clay mask by yourself also lets you control how thick and how powerful of a deep cleansing session you want to have.

I forgot to take a picture of the swatch but they were definitely thin and easy to spread!

In terms of smell, Youth had a coffee smell and Pure was more subtle.

(Minimise pores + black heads)

Made with green clay and bamboo charcoal to deep cleanse the skin, it also has witch hazel (which is good for pores and acne).

(Anti Aging + Energizing)

Containing pink clay, this masks prevents and slows down aging with matcha and coffee, giving you refreshed skin.

You can use it as a clay mask but since it has a few gentle coffee grinds it can also be used as an exfoliator.

Pure retails at RM49 and Youth retails at RM54. If you place an order now, your order will be shipped by September 4th!

After some mingling and talking, a few speeches were made. First was by OpenMinds:

Followed by the founder of Dirty Benefits herself: Samantha Low!

It was really inspiring to hear how far she's come with her company! Samantha is actually from a graphic design background with no experience with business at all. She built her company from scratch (packaging, research and everything was her!), and with the support of her team, her brain child is now 2 years old and is still going strong!

Hopefully in the future I'll be able to start my own company as well 💖 I had a pic with Samantha but my eyes were a bit cacat. Luckily the official photographer managed to snap one of us!

*Ignore my still kinda cacat face. Thanks Mr. Photographer!*

Thanks again Samantha for inviting me to be part of your DB journey! I'd also like to thank Syd for coming as my plus one 💕

We were all sent back with goodie bags, and I was super happy with my haul!

First, we have some vouchers:

Next we have this ultra cute gold pouch and some Kerastase goodies!

I friggin love the gold pouch! And it's not some low quality pouch you know, its quite thicl and sturdy! I now have a new makeup pouch muahahaha.

Dirty Benefits was also kind enough to include a tub of Pure as well as a packet of Coconut Confessions for me to try out. I'll definitely be trying this out and posting my review here in my blog soon, so stay tuned! 😉

And that's it for this post! Oh, and I almost forgot: do you guys like my makeup?

I decided to not do my usualy "natural" Korean lip and opted for a liquid lip! I just love this brown grunge-y look 😍

Anyways, if you guys would like to know more about Dirty Benefits or get any of their products, head on over to www.dirtybenefits.com or check their Instagram out at @dirtybenefits!

As always, thanks for reading and I'll see y'all in my next post!
