Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart, Mid Valley

September 26, 2016

Hi guys, today I'll be sharing all about Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart 🧀

The baked cheese tart craze started two months ago here in Malaysia and I finally got to try these babies out!

Address:
G-048, Midvalley Megamall,, Lingkaran Syed Putra,
Mid Valley City, 58000 Kuala Lumpur,
Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

I heard about this place a few weeks back but I only remembered to look for it a few days back. It's located inside Secret Recipe itself, so you won't really notice it at first glance.

From what I saw, they don't sell anything else but the cheese tarts.

They cost RM5.8 each and RM29 for a box of 6. To be honest I wouldn't have bought these if it was a normal day. I just happened to get my salary and I remembered the tarts that day. I really shouldn't be let out with my wallet :(

A box of 6 will come in a box and any less will come in paper pockets.

Look at these babies! My mouth was watering from just looking at them 😍

I just noticed it, but if you scroll back up to the price sign above you'll see that in the tart in the picture, the cheese is flowing. My tarts didn't have flowy cheese, but the texture was quite soft. Kinda like custard but definitely not flowy.

If you're wondering why there aren't any pictures of the inside, it's because I ate them all and forgot.

After eating the tarts (and giving my work mates some) I saw the side of the box. Apparently you can enjoy it at any temperature.

These are definitely a must try desert. They're definitely sweet and cheesy, but not to the point where you feel sick of it. Each tart is quite big and loaded with cheese as well, so I would say that they're definitely worth the 5.80.

I heard from a workmate that another famous Japanese cheese house called Pablo will be opening in One Utama this weekend~ I might go and try it one of these days, but with one so close from where I'm working I don't think I'll be going anytime soon haha.

UPDATE:

HBCT now serves chocolate cheese tarts!

They cost the same as the normal ones (RM5.8) and you can mix and match them if you get the box set.

I was intrigued when a workmate of mine mentioned about the new flavour. I decided to give it a try AND I HAVE NO REGRETS!

I personally think the chocolate one is a hundred times better than the original one! I recommend eating it when the tart is still warm, I almost died of foodgasm when I took my first bite omg. It's not too much or too milky, and is the perfect combo of sweet, creamy and cheesy!

And that's it for this short post, thanks so much for reading!
