Innisfree Apple Juicy Deep Cleansing Foam Review

July 21, 2016

Hello everyone, today I'll be sharing my review of Innisfree's Apple Juicy Deep Cleansing Foam!

I was on the lookout for a new foam cleanser a few weeks back because my Etude House AC Clinic Foam Cleanser finished. As you guys may or may not know, I tend to like to try out cleansers that promise a thorough cleanse without breaking me out.
Innisfree is a Korean skincare brand that I actually have a very good impression of. I've tried their Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask before as well as a few of their sheet masks and I was impressed.

Since I had never tried a foam wash by them before, I decided to purchase one on Hermo.my after researching which one was the best fit for me. I ended up choosing this cleanser!

So without further ado, let's get on with the review!

*Disclaimer: I was not paid for this post and this review cotans my 100% honest opinions*

WHAT IS IT

On the back of the tube it says that this product is a fresh deep cleansing foam that offers softness and healthy radiance to your skin like a freshly washed apple.

Innisfree is famous for their natural and organic ingredients, and this cleanser contains apple juicy and green complex. I'm not sure what apple juicy is by I'm assuming that it's apple extract.

Apples are used in skincare products because they're rich in antioxidants like vitamin C. Apples are natural astringents and can help with large pores. It also has brightening properties like papayas. Apples also have AHAs that help exfoliate the skin and hold skin cells together. Regular use of apple products can help lead to smoother skin.

I actually heard of the cleansing water before I heard of this product. I heard a few years back (from a Youtuber I think) that that cleanser was great for removing makeup and was popular in Taiwan.

WHERE TO BUY?

This foam cleanser comes in a 150ml tube and I got mine on Hermo.my for RM20 during their 4th Anniversary sale. It retails normally on Hermo at RM23 and RM38 in Innisfree shops. RM20 for a 150ml tube is really cheap, so I would say in terms of size, this cleanser is worth the money.

PACKAGING

The cleanser comes packaged in a green plastic tube and new tubes come sealed in foil and taped to prevent tampering.

The packaging was pretty standard and I didn't have any problems with it.

INGREDIENTS

As I mentioned above, this cleanser contains apple extract and green complex.

TEXTURE & FRAGRANCE

This cleanser smells like apples, and I absolutely love it. The smell isn't strong enough to be overbearing, just enough to give a pleasant and clean feeling. As for the texture, although it says that it's a cleansing foam, it's very difficult to create a thick, bubbly foam. At most when I make a lather it becomes more of a slippery/creamy kind of cleanser,

HOW TO USE

Cleanse - Toner - Serum - Moisturize

Cleansing is the first step in my skincare routine. I usually wet my face, put a pea sized amount on my hands and make a lather before gently rubbing the product in a circular motion on my face. (Does it create a lot of foam?)

MY REVIEW

1. Cleansing
My skin feels squeaky clean after using this cleanser! It manages to get rid of dirt and excess sebum efficiently enough, but needs a bit of help when dealing with makeup (aka foundation, etc)

2. Moisturizing
I didn't really feel super moisturized after cleansing.

3. Softness
Not only does this cleanser do a great job of leaving the skin clean, it also somehow helps to soften it! I love poking my skin after cleansing because it feels noticeably softer.

4. Radiance
I didn't notice any "radiance" like a super healthy glow, but my face has been mostly acne free since using this cleanser.

5. Firmness of skin
I mentioned above that I didn't feel that moisturized and that it makes my skin soft, but it somehow made my skin firm as well. Not firm as in hard, but more like nicely plump. Yes, I think plump is the word. I definitely feel like my skin is firmer and tighter.

MY VERDICT

This is a great cleanser that does a decent job of cleansing and making the skin firm. Although it does a good job, I wouldn't recommend this to very acne prone people, just because you can get a better cleanser that targets acne in particular. Instead, I would recommend this to someone who has a normal skin type who is looking for a casual cleanser.

WILL I REPURCHASE

Although it was decent and the scent is nice, I personally wouldn't repurchase this. I'd rather try out other washes, but if asked if I'll consider using this cleanser again in the future, I definitely wouldn't mid.
