THE FACE SHOP Inklasting Foundation Glow Review

May 15, 2019

Hi guys, today I'll be sharing all about THE FACE SHOP's new Inklasting Foundation in Glow!

Known for all-day comfort, lightweight HD coverage + a non-cakey formula, THE FACE SHOP recently expanded their Ink Lasting Foundation line with the new Ink Lasting Foundation Glow Fit!

You guys may recall, last year I tried out the Ink Lasting Foundation in Slim Fit and Slim Fit to go:

While the Slim Fit version has a natural matte finish suitable for those with normal to oily skin, the new Glow Fit version is suitable for those with normal to dry skin (or those looking to get that glass skin effect) and is specially formulated to put the glow back to your skin.

Similar to the Slim Fit version, the Glow also promises to provide all-day comfort, lightweight HD coverage + a non-cakey formula. I've been more into glowy foundations recently so I was super excited to try this out!

Here are some of the Glow version's key points:

Luminous Oil & Light Reflecting Micro Shimmer
Instantly smoothes out skin texture and adds a touch of natural radiance.

Built-in Primer Polymers
The formula covers fine lines and uneven surfaces without streaking.

Pigment Fixing System
Lasting, non-suffocating coverage with a weightless feel for comfortable wear!

Contains Adenosine
Enriched with a powerful anti-ageing ingredient that improves the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

This foundation is available in five shades. The N shades are recommended for neutral tones while the V shades recommended for pink-based tones.

THE FACE SHOP Ink Lasting Foundation Glow Fit in available nationwide in THE FACE SHOP's stores as well as their e-store for RM97. I think the price to size ratio (30ml) is not bad!

This foundation comes very luxuriously packaged! The box it comes with has a very high quality, velvety feel:

There's info in English behind:

You'll notice that the box and bottle are labelled with "fmgt", and that actually stands for Fashion Makeup Group, meaning its part of LG's colour cosmetics collection.

The bottle itself is super high quality and luxe.

Made from glass, you get a pump for easy and hygienic dispensing.

I did an analysis of the ingredients on Cosdna, and I found that the ingredients are pretty clean! All greens and yellows (meaning its very unlikely to cause irritations)

There is a light fragrance to it but it disappears after a while. The texture is comfy and easy to blend out.

Here we have a swatch of my fave glow foundation from Espoir on the left + the Inklasting Glow on the right.

As you can see, although both are glowy, Espoir's is slightly more glowy. The colour is also lighter so I do have to adjust it a bit when I use it.

THE FACE SHOP suggests to use the Ink Lasting Foundation Glow after skincare and sunblock. I personally like using a primer after skincare + sunblock, and I use a sponge to apply it.

Here's what the product looks like on my face! Slightly lighter than my neck but fixable. Look at that shine!

I've worn it out a few times now + even worn it out to events. As an oily person wearing a glowy foundation, I can easily look oily and greasy. However, with this one, it looked pretty natural even after 6 hours of wear.

Overall I think its a great alternative for my fave Espoir (which is hard to buy in Malaysia). It's not as shiny + has fewer shades, but for the price + effect, I think it's nice. Like it advertises, it really is comfy, does not crack and does not oxidize. I can live with just fixing it + adding a ton of highlighter hahaha.

And that's it for this review! I hope you guys found it helpful. If you wanna purchase this product or would like to check out the Slim Fit version, head over to THE FACE SHOP's E-store today!
