Breena Beauty Velvetcreme Vault Unboxing + New Pink Shades Review

April 19, 2018

Hi guys, welcome back! Today I'll be sharing about Breena Beauty's newly launched Velvetcreme Vault + the three new shades added to the Velvetcreme Matte Liquid Lipstick line!

If you didn't already know, Breena Beauty is a local Malaysian brand that started out with liquid lipsticks and has since expanded to sponges & brushes. To be honest, I feel like they're one of the best quality makeup products I've tried. Y'all know I keep it real, and if you follow my Instastories or watch any of my (limited lol) makeup tutorials on YouTube, you'll know that Breena's products are one of my faves. Their lippies have quite a good range of colours & are really long lasting + comfortable, and their black pearl (blending sponge) is my RIDE OR DIE. I cannot use any other blending sponge now!

Breena recently released their first ever lipstick vault containing all 9 of their original Velvetcreme shades + 3 new pink shades (totaling to 12 lippies). They sent one vault over to me for a review + to share with you guys, so thanks again Breena!

Each lipstick costs RM39, but if you get the vault, each lipstick will only end up costing RM33.

The packaging of the vault is divine. When I first snapped about it on my Instastories, a lot of you guys DMed me back asking if it was only PR packaging. The answer is no, everyone can get the limited edition vault on Breena Beauty's website in all it's white, aesthetic glory.

They totally could have gone the cheap way like NYX and just put all 12 lippies in a flimsy carton box, but as always, Breena chose quality. The lippies are placed in a limited edition box that would look super nice to display in your room. Props to Breena and their co-founder Sabrina for always delivering the best! 👏

Breena's liquid lips are one of (if not the) most popular liquid lipsticks here in Malaysia. They're super easy to apply, are very comfortable & are super long lasting. I posted about them here on my blog before, and you can read all about it here.

Along with the vault, Breena also revamped the packaging of the lippies. They were previously white and gold:

The new packaging comes in rose gold, and I personally think it looks sleeker and prettier!

You get 7ml (0.24 fl oz) worth of product in each component (same as last time), and for comparison, Colourpop's liquid lipsticks come in 3.2g (0.11 fl oz) and Kylie Cosmetics' lipsticks come in 3.25 ml (0.11 fl oz).

For their first-ever vault, Breena decided to launch 3 new pink shades:

Here's what they look like on me + my thoughts on each shade:

Berry Pie
(Deep Raspberry)

Among all 3 lippies, Berry Pie was the one that initially caught my eye. To be honest I don't wear a lot of pink lippies because I find reds and browns to be more flattering and this shade seemed the "safest". It turned out to be quite nice on my skin tone & not as unflattering as I'd feared!

Bubble Gum
(Warm Pink)

This was the shade I was scared of the most because in the tube it looked almost neon. The neon-ness, however, didn't translate when I applied it on my lips. The shade of pink wasn't too light on my tan skin and actually complimented the "pink party" theme I had going on when I was taking pictures for this post haha.

Rocka'bye
(Burnt Cranberry)

This shade is slightly purplish and I love how vampy it looks. It reminded me of Velvet Vanity's Shook a little, but this one is slightly more on the pink side. It's definitely a wearable colour for me because I like rocking maroon/nudes on my eyes, and I think this lippie would def match.

The rest of the shades look exactly like their previous versions and still smell and feel the same. The texture of the lipsticks is still creamy when applied & lightweight when dry, and their durability has remained super long-lasting. The Velvetcreme lipsticks are cruelty-free, not tested on animals & are paraben free. They're also made locally here in Malaysia.

Each lippie has different ingredients because of the colours/pigments in them, but rest assured, all of Breena Beauty's lipsticks are approved by the Health Ministry.

As I mentioned in my previous post, Breena creates one (if not the) best local Malaysian lippies in the market, and I really recommend you guys to check them out for yourself.

The limited edition vault is available for RM396 but you can get the lipsticks individually as well for RM39 each on breenabeauty.com.

Breena Beauty is now available offline in PlayUp Advance in Fahrenheit, and you can swatch the shades there to see how they are in real life. The price is the same as their official website, so if you're in KL, definitely drop by!

And that was it for this post! I really do love the Black Blending Pearl + their brushes, and I'm working on making a post about them next (so stay tuned! ^^). In the meantime, if you would like to read my other Breena Beauty reviews, click here.

As always, thank you guys so much for dropping by my blog. I hope you guys liked this blog post and found it informative & helpful. I'll see y'all in the next one!
