THE FACE SHOP Marvel Limited Edition Collection Review

November 8, 2017
Hi guys, welcome back to my blog! Way overdue (since I already shared about this on Youtube and Insta haha), but today's post will be my haul/review on The Face Shop's limited edition Marvel Collection!

The Face Shop Malaysia was kind enough to send these babies over and I was glad to be one of the first in Malaysia to get to try them out!

Remember to like the video and to subscribe to my channel!

The collection is MASSIVE and they're currently only available in select TFS stores. They also didn't bring over the cushion here in Malaysia, but I didn't really mind because I don't usually wear cushions.

These collection has both skincare and makeup products, and I used all the products I got in the video above (so remember to check it out!)

The Fresh For Men Special Marvel Set | RM200

This special set contains 2 products: the Fresh For Men Hydrating Toner and Hydrating Emulsion. The metallic silver packaging makes it really good for gifting your dad/bf/husband this Christmas!

They both contain English Breakfast tea that leaves skin feeling soft with its mild formula while hydrating skin with a surge of moisture.

Aside from toning and moisturizing, the range also contains a sunblock and a hydrating fluid.

Natural Sun Eco Ice Air Puff Sun SPF50 PA+++ | RM120

This sunblock was unique to me because it's the first ever pump-type sunblock I tried! The puff makes application hygienic and the metal plate has upgraded to disperse the product more evenly. Upon application, it feels very cool. There is a slight coverage and although it doesn't really match my tan skin at first, it blends out afterward.

The Fresh For Men Hydrating Fluid | RM115

This product is an all in one product that can be used as a toner and a moisturizer and basically as everything else: it's your one stop product! I know a lot of guys don't like using a lot of products so this would be perfect for them.

Among all 3 products from the Fresh For Men Marvel special line, I feel like all of them are equally hydrating. If you're going for practicality, I suggest getting only the hydrating fluid. If you want to give a present or want a more clean/hydrated face, I suggest getting the set because it's so much worth it!

Mono Pop Eyes (Chic Blue/Strong Red) | RM110

Time for makeup! TFS made 2 special palettes and made the theme go with either red or blue, very superhero-ish.

They come in a compact case with 9 shades and a mirror, and I love it! The outside packaging has a very urban and high quality feel to it compared to other basic eyeshadow palette's packaging. It feels heavy, expensive and legit.

For protection, each pallete contains a sheet that protects the eyeshadows, and these sheets have a unique Marvel comic on them!

Both paletes contain mattes, shimmers and glitters. I feel like the blue palette makes more elegant, smokey and formal looks while the red palette is more everyday (and more me!)

Although all the shades are pigmented af and do not have a lot of fallout, I'm quite disappointed that the center blue shade is not as pigmented as the center red shade. Although it still has some color payoff and can be layered on, it was just sad to see some inconsistency.

Aside from that I suggest getting this eyeshadow palette! If I could only suggest getting 1 product from this entire collection it would be the Strong Red palette! Its so versatile, like you can use it to make so many everyday looks!

The Face Shop did not bring over the cushions to Malaysia, but they did bring 2 jelly eyeshadows, 2 inkgel eyeliners and 4 matt touch lipsticks.

Single Shadow Jelly (Ultra Silver/Hyper Peach) | RM32

These eyeshadows are super glittery and in a way are kinda like jelly. Its still powder, but if you look at it from the side and press, the shape changes. I like to use Ultra Silver not only on my eyes but on my cheeks as a highlighter as well! Hyper Peach is super pretty on the eyes, especially in the inner corners.

Inkgel Pencil Eyeliner (Black Widow/Thor Brown) | RM46

As I mentioned in my previous video, I LOVE this pencils. I think that if you're a makeup beginner and you wanna try out some eyeliners, you should definitely check these out. They're super creamy and easy to use! Black Widow is a classic matte black liner while Thor Brown is a nice metallic (almost copper) liner.

Matt Touch Lipstick | RM68

Las but not least are the lips! These lips are ultra matte but do not feel drying on the lips. The colours that are available here in Malaysia are Hero Red, Iron Red, Power Pink and Hyper Pink. Like the eyeshadow palettes, these lipsticks have the same hexagonal plastic design.

I think out of all the products I got, these would be my least fave. I don't really wear matte lips on a daily basis, but they can be make glossy or applied sheer for that MLBB look. They're long-wearing, pigmented and super matte, so if you're a fan of these you should definitely swatch these babies out.

As I mentioned, these products are only available in select The Face Shop stores, namely:

Kuala Lumpur:
Midvalley, Pavilion, Berjaya Times Square, Sunway Velocity

Selangor:
One Utama, Sunway Pyramid, IOI City mall

Melaka:
AEON Melaka

Southern:

Nothern:

East Malaysia:

And that's all for this post! I hope you guys found it interesting and informative. As always, thanks for reading and see y'all in the next post!
