BLOG DETOX: My Fave Sheet Masks

June 14, 2017

Hi guys, welcome back to my blog! 😚 Today's post is a lil' different as it's my entry for The Butterfly Project's Blog Detox monthly program!

It's basically a "back to basics" blogging exercise, and in the words of Mamasan Tammy herself:

A Blog Detox is a safe space where you talk about your favorite products/items uncut and raw. No need to worry about extra frills and how it's going to turn out (i.e. no need to take a million pictures just to get that perfect flatlay and still edit the crap out of it). Just sit down, write and return to fundamentals: give information and opinions about products. Afterall, that's what blogging is really about right? :) Please, no sponsored or paid type posts (unless it's something you've tried, tested and HONESTLY love and use on a regular basis) as we want this to be as real as possible. Keep it sweet and simple!

Being the extra bitch that I was, I couldn't NOT take flatlay pictures haha, but I did limit myself and just "tumpang" these mask in another flatlay set that I had going on, so basically I didn't specifically organize a flatlay for this post haha.

I missed last month's detox but I'm here for episode 2! This month's topic is sheet masks, and here are my faves:

1. Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask Sheet

These are my ultimate go-to sheet masks! I used to always but sheet masks from The Face Shop but once I tried out these babies from Innisfree, I've never looked back. All of them are pretty juicy and hydrating and just gives your skin that boost that it needs.

My fave flavours would have to be the Lime + the Strawberry because I'm all about that vitamin C life. Although the Lime one smells very similar to dishwashing soap, I love how it hydrates and brightens my skin!

2. Koelf Cosmetic Ruby and Bulgarian Rose Hydro Gel Mask Pack

This was a gem I discovered only after I started working in Althea. Everyone on the SNS team had a stash of these masks (plus the hydrogel eye patches), and I couldn't help but be intrigued. Tammy had a whole stash as well and since she found that she had too much, I bought some sheet masks from her (these included).

After I tried them on I finally understood why they loved it so much! The hydrogel texture of the mask is so cooling and different from the usual tissue masks that I was used to. It hydrates the skin very well + its my go to mask for when I have an event and I need super good skin. Its very plumping and kinda calms down irritated skin (like my acne) as well. Although its pretty expensive compared to other sheet masks, it's definitely worth it 👍

They're also available in Gold or Pearl, plus there are hydro gel eye patches as well (which are great for cooling and refreshing the under eye area!)

And that was it for this short post! If you guys would like to join this monthly exercise, check out The Butterfly Project by clicking here!

As always, thanks for reading, see y'all in the next post!
