Watson Spa Warm Eye Mask Review

April 20, 2017

Hi guys, welcome to a quick review of these Spa Warm Eye Masks from Watsons!

I'm a night owl, and I find myself waking up late most days not because I purposely stay up late, but because I simply cannot sleep! I never believed in insomnia until I realized a few years back that I actually had insomnia myself.

One solution I found very helpful was to wear a sleeping eye mask. I wanted to look for one in Guardian when the awesome people at Watsons sent me these products to review!

These are the Spa Warm Eye Masks, and basically they're self heating eye masks that aim to "moisten and soothe" the eyes for 10 minutes.

They're also said to come with a calming scent, and I got the lavender and the chamomile scents.

My first impressions were that this was quite ingenious! If sleeping eye masks could help you sleep, these would surely speed up the process!

Here's what the packaging looks like:

There are 5 masks in each box, and each box retails at RM20 per box.

Now the question is: does it really work? The answer is yes! I'm not just saying that because these were sent to me, I legitimately like these products and I've repurchased the lavender ones.

How it works is that when you take the eye masks out of the pack, it starts to heat up.

It promises up to 10 minutes of warmth and I actually timed this. After listening to about 5 songs it was still warm, and I fell asleep after that so I can assume it was still warm after 15 minutes (which is great!).

When you first put it on, you don't feel the warmth until about 20 seconds. The scent is not very heavy and you can barely smell it there but I really like their warmness.

I also tried tying it around my arm and leg when it was super sore and it kinda acted like a mini heating pad!

Since they are RM4 a piece, I try to reserve these for days when I totally cannot sleep. On normal nights I just reuse the old ones that are can no longer heat up as normal eye masks. It's reusable so that's pretty awesome!

And that's it for this short review. If you're an occasional insomniac like me, do give these a try. If you don't like them, at least you get eye masks anyways. I think it's a win-win situation haha. Also, my advice is to not drink any water before going to bed!

As always, thanks for reading! I hope you guys found this post interesting and helpful!
