Skinmiso Pore Corset Serum Review

October 2, 2016

Hello everyone, today's post will be my review of Skinmiso's Pore Corset Serum.

I first heard about this serum through one of Miles Jai's videos. He was sent a package by Wishtrend and he tried out a few Korean products.

A few months later, my friend Sammi from Singapore visited me and was generous enough to give a a whole bag of goodies, one of them being Skinmiso's Pore Corset Serum!

I've tried it myself and thought I'd finally share with you guys my thoughts about this product. On with the review!

*Disclaimer: I was not paid to make this post and the following are my 100% honest opinions.*

WHAT IS IT

This serum is a tightening serum that claims to be able to minimize and tighten pores, while balancing moisture and oil. It helps the pore elastic convergence (don't know what that is) with the best combination of plant extracts. It also says that it improves dead cell on the pores. By that I think they mean help get rid of it.

The box that it came with didn't really offer any other information other than that.

If you read my Missha FTE Review or Etude House Wonder Pore Cleanser, you'll remember me saying that I have little to seldom vible pores and that I only see them when I wash my face. I don't know if that was real or I just wasn't focused enough, because I realized a month ago that I could actually see my pores! And after this comment on YouTube:

I became more aware of my pores and how big they actually were!

Okay they aren't that big and they only look horrible in this  pic because it's zoomed in, but I can't help myself! Now all I look at when I see my reflection are my pores T.T

Skinmiso's Pore Corset Serum claims to be able to fix that problem and even has "proof" samples:

So did this serum help minimize/diminish them? Stick around to find out!

WHERE TO BUY?

When I first got this, it wasn't available in Malaysia and only available on Wishtrend.com for $17.80. Thanks to Hermo.my, they've acquire stock for hard to get items (like the OST C20 Serum) and now its available on their site for RM111. Quite expensive for such a small bottle huh?

PACKAGING

The serum comes in a small white 30ml bottle.

There isn't much info on the box:

The dropper is slightly shorter than usual too:

TEXTURE & FRAGRANCE

The serum is a semi-opaque white liquid which is actually more watery/runny than it looks:

It smells great, not too stong with just a tint of cleanliness. It leaves a shiny finish:

HOW TO USE

Cleanser - Toner - Essence - Serum - Moisturizer

I apply this after essence and the only thing that Skinmiso says is to let it absorb  for 20 minutes for maximum effect.

MY REVIEW

Okay, did it diminish the appearance of pores? As you can see from my comparison picture below,

it didn't do that great of a job. Just a lil' disclaimer, I used it for about 2 weeks and left it on for 20 minutes both day and night like it said. If you look closely on the second picture (on the right), my pores don't actually take up the entire cheek but are focused on one area (around those 3 acne scars). After 2 weeks of usage they didn't disappear or get smaller so I just stopped using it altogether :(

MY VERDICT

Okay, my pores aren't that bad, and I think it's normal to have pores. If you don't have pores you won't be able to sweat and your skin won't be able to breathe. Based on MY small pores, I would say that this serum didn't do that good of a job. If you have bigger pores, I suggest trying this out and telling me if it works for you. We all have different skin types and unfortunately, this just wasn't a match for me.

I'm not too sad because from afar/when I put on foundation its not very visible, but I did hope that it would help me get that flawless poreless look.

WILL I REPURCHASE

Nope, I will not repurchase this product. For 100 bucks I can buy so much more. Sorry Skinmiso!
