Skin Food Black Sugar Mask Wash Off Exfoliator Review

October 31, 2016
Hello guys, today I'll be sharing my review of Skin Food's Black Sugar Mask Wash Off Exfoliator.

I got this product as part of my Althea haul a few weeks back and I love it to bits!

Although the products were provided by, all my thoughts and opinions are honest and my own :)

I also just posted my review of Innisfree's Jeju Volcanic Nose Pack strips, so do check that out!

So, let's get on with it shall we?

This product is a sugar scrub/exfoliator that I've seen a lot of online. There's a lot of rave about it and a lot of reviews say that its really good.

It contains minerals and vitamins and claims to effectively remove dead skin cells while revitalizing the skin. It also contains Brazilian black sugar that promotes smooth, glowing skin.

This costs RM20 on and for the amount of product I would say that it's a pretty good deal.

The product comes in a 100g tub:

They come sealed:

The tub also has another cover inside:

As I mentioned above, this scrub contains Brazilian Black Sugar. Here's the full list of ingredients:

The scrub itself is brown and looks like a sugar paste.

I like that it smells slightly lemon-y as you're scrubbing it on your face. I accidentally tasted it when my tongue licked my lips, and OMG it was so sweet. I really debated on whether or not I wanted to try eating it haha.

The paste dissolves into a white foam when mixed in with water.

In the shower after cleansing I would follow up with an appropriate amount. I rub the scrub onto my face until the sugar completely dissolves.

I totally love this product! My previous scrub was Kiehl's Clearly Corrective something, and although it was great, the full sized product was too expensive. This one is not only affordable, it works great as well! My face instantly feels softer and smoother after using it. I think this will be great for all skin types as it didn't irritate or overly dry out my skin.

One thing I don't like though is the tub, because since I use it in the shower, a bit of water tends to get into the tub.

I would definitely recommend this product because of its performance and its price.

That was it for this short review! As always, thanks for reading and see you in the next post 💕
